The Proposal - 2009

Este primeiro filme de Anne Fletcher como realizadora, com Sandra Bullock e Ryan Reynolds acaba por ser mais um filme do género comédia romântica sem grande novidade.

O que se pode e deve realçar são as excelentes tiradas de humor tanto de Margaret (Bullock) como de Andrew (Reynolds) e a excelente prestação de uma das Golden Girls Betty White como Grandma Annie.

Margaret é a directora que ninguém quer ter e obriga o seu assistente, Andrew, a casar com ela para que não seja deportada para o Canadá. O que começa como uma relação de ódio-ódio transforma-se ao longo do filme numa relação de amor-amor, como seria de esperar.

Parece-me indiscutível que o grande vencedor da noite foi Banny Boyle e Slumdog millionaire.

Milk - 2008

Esta é a história de vida (parte dela pelo menos) do primeiro político eleito, assumidamente gay.

Harvey Milk (Sean Penn) deixou o seu "confortável" emprego em New York e foi viver para San Francisco com o namorado. Apesar de "if you're going to San Francisco be sure to wear some flowers in your hair" a vida dos dois não foi fácil e tiveram de lutar contra alguns preconceitos. Abriram uma loja de fotografia no bairro Castro que depressa se tornou um ponto de encontro para activistas (e não activistas gay).

Milk depressa descobriu a sua vocação e depois de perder várias eleições e o namorado conseguiu ser eleito Supervisor.

A interpretaçãod e Sean Penn é irreprensível, no entanto o filme de Gus Van Sant poderia dar-nos mais sobre a vida de Harvey Milk que acabou por ser assassinado por Dan White (Josh Brolin) não por ser gay mas por ser político.

Burn after reading - 2008

Este filme dos irmãos Cohen segue muito a linha do Fargo, com um humor bastante peculiar.

Aconselha-se este filme que foi um dos grandes de 2008 apesar de não estar nomeado para os Oscars. As interpretações de Francis McDormand (Linda Litzke, nomeada para um Globo de Ouro que não ganhou, Sally Hawkins foi a vencedor, Brad Pitt (Chad Feldheimer), que é cada vez mais não só uma cara bonita de Hollywood, John Malkovich (Osbourne Cox), Tilda Swinton (Katie Cox) e George Clooney (Harry Pfarrer) são brilhantes, principalmente dos dois primeiros (McDormand e Pitt).

É impressionante como os irmãos Cohen escreveram este guião conseguindo misturar todas estas personagens que, à partida, nada teriam umas com as outras mas que, brilhantemente, se misturam à volta da descoberta de uns papeis aparentemente secretos, num ginásio.

Mamma Mia - 2008

O que dizer sobre esta adaptação do musical Mamma Mia ao cinema, realizado por Phyllida Lloyd?

Poderemos dizer que a Meryl Streep (Donna) vai muito bem e nem sequer nos espanta isso nem o facto de saber cantar...

Poderemos dizer que Amanda Seyfried (Sophie) foi uma revelação...

Podemos dizer que Pierce Brosnan (Sam) está a tornar-se num canastrão...

Poderemos dizer tudo isso se não nos esquecermos de mencionar que Julie Walters (Rosie) e, principalmente, Christine Baranski (Tanya) são fabulosas.

Rosie: [to Tanya] Typical isn't it? You wait 20 years for a dad and then three come along at once.

Sex and the City - 2008

Michael Patrick King juntou Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) e Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) e fez um filme como sendo a continuação da série que durante 6 temporadas fez sucesso.

Em termos de surpresa não haveria muito a esperar do filme e ele recomenda-se, quase exclusivamente, aos amantes da série.

O que se pode realçar é a interpretação de Jennifer Hudson (vencedora incontestável de um Oscar por Dreamgirls) que foi conseguindo fazer crescer a sua personagem ao longo das longas horas do filme.

Dizem que está a ser programada a sequela do filme, eu arriscaria a dizer que o sucesso seria maior se investissem em mais temporadas da série.

Made of Honor - 2008

O que fazer quando nos apercebemos, tarde demais, que afinal o que queremos (ou quem queremos) está mesmo ali ao nosso lado e tem estado sempre desde há anos? Assume-se que é tarde demais e nada fazemos ou lutamos até ao fim? Thomas (Patrick Dempsey) decidiu-se pela última neste filme de Paul Weiland, e levou até às últimas consequências a conquista de Hanna (Michelle Monaghan).

Tom: Nobody in the world makes me laugh the way you do. You're my best friend. I just wanna be with you.

Pouco mais haverá a dizer sobre este filme, é mais uma comédia romântica comercial.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - 2008

No outro dia li que o 3º filme da saga era sofrível e oo 4º filme dispensável. Eu não chegaria tão longe na análise mas diria que a aparição, já no final, da nave espacial era perfeitamente dispensável.

Os maus da fita não são os nazis, são os russos. Cate Blanchett na pele de Irina Spalko é do melhor do filme.

Deixamos de ter o pai e passamos a ter o filho (Shia LaBeouf), Indy continua igual a si próprio apesar de muitos anos mais velho. He still rules. E voltamos a ter a sempre humorada Marion (Karen Allen).

Este novo filme de Steven Spielberg não surpreende e não querendo ser tão radical quanto a crítica que eferi no inicio, na realidade este é o mais fraco de todos os filmes do Indiana Jones.
