Esta comédia romântica de Gary David Goldberg conta com as participações de Diane Lane e o sempre magnífico John Cusack.Sarah Nolan (Lane) é uma divorciada que não está a conseguir sair do seu estado de "luto". A sua mais que prestável irmã Carol (Elizabeth Perkins) acaba por colocar um anúncio num site e de repente começam a chover convites para sair.
O inesperado acontece quando ela conhece Jake (Cusack) e apesar do encontro não correr muito bem fica claro que a relação entre os dois não irá ficar por aí.
